Our beautiful and gentle Rani, only a year and a half old, passed away on 11th August 2021.
She had been unwell for the past few weeks - what started off as a skin infection on her front paws, to her limping for a few days to a sudden neurological affliction leaving her unable to walk or move.
A battery of tests ruled out the fatal distemper or spine abnormalities, confirming a nervous degeneration along with a heart condition of bradycardia and arrhythmia.

Rani was home with us for two weeks, and although it was difficult - we were happy to have her around, safe and taken care of. Choti, her sister would often sit beside her along with our cat, Zorro, and we were glad to see them together.

We had plans to make her undergo physiotherapy and supportive treatment and were determined to have her paws back on the ground... it was heartbreaking having her leave us this way.
But we will continue to love Rani and remember her as a real queen - a strong girl, with her elegant demeanor and the peace she gleamed of. We'll always remember you, Rani, and always love you, for your peaceful presence and your beautiful soul…
